Following on from our discussion about whether screenwriters are sidelined as the authors of films (and also relevant to the discussion we have in the May 2015 episode), I watched the original 1970 version of The Out of Towners last night, and was surprised to see that the film, written by Neil Simon and directed by Arthur Hiller, had this intriguing title screen at the beginning:
